Starbucks has finally made their mobile payment program available to customers in the UK using the official Starbucks iPhone app. This provides a wonderful addition to all of the other Starbucks services already available for iPhone users in the UK.
The app can be used to manage a Starbucks Card account, transfer card balances, reload a card, locate stores in the area, and find out information on other offers and products from Starbucks.
On top of that… Starbucks has launched the My Starbucks Rewards program in the UK to offer customers there similar benefits to the rewards available in Canada and the US. For anyone living in the UK or with friends and family overseas, take the time to let them know that Starbucks now provides new benefits through the My Starbucks Rewards program and the Starbucks iPhone app for convenient, quick mobile payments.
One juicy tidbit is that this idea was, of course, inspired by a Starbucks user on the My Starbucks Idea forum. Believe it or not, Starbucks actually listens to their customers. One customer suggested that Mobile Payment Apps be made available in Europe, the UK, and Ireland, in addition to the US. And now that dream has become a reality. Cheers!
